This year, I’ve observed so many businesses that started during the Covid eCommerce boom time
They’re experiencing a decline in sales, or finding that trying to get the same results as they easily got during Covid is now taking them a lot more time, effort and investment.
Let’s be honest, the life we all experienced during the first two years of Covid produced about 10 years’ worth of eCommerce sales growth in that very short period of time.
Then all of a sudden, our online shopping habits changed again with the result being that innate demand for eCommerce was no longer there.
The simple fact that it was now harder to get the same results has left a lot of business owners feeling like there’s something wrong with them or their business.
This is absolutely not the case, it just comes down to the changes in consumer behaviour.
Today on the show, I’m joined by a friend of mine who is also a former client, who is one of the best humans I know.
The wonderful Lou Duggan from Cake 2 The Rescue
She’s been in business for more than 12 years and in our conversation today, we talk all about before, during and after Covid.
What the impacts have been on her business, how she’s navigating things in her business right now as we’re all – as consumers – experiencing the cost pressures of inflation and interest rate rises.
