Getting website traffic and sales in your online store can be tough.
I remember when I launched my first business years ago, trying to work out how to crack the mystery that was Google. And initially having that knee jerk reaction of ‘oh this search engine optimisation thing is too techy and difficult and I’ll never understand it so I’m gonna pay someone else to do it’.
And unfortunately having a pretty bad experience with someone sending a bunch of junk traffic to my site. Which is not ideal at all!

Love your podcast and this episode! So helpful. Any idea how long it takes to rank on Google after optimizing for a new keyword? I changed up my keyword strategy for my site and optimized it for a higher volume but more relevant (I think) keyword than the one I was originally ranking for, and it’s ranking on other search engines but not on google.
Glad you’re enjoying the content Iwona! The time it takes to rank on Google depends on so many and varied factors. If you haven’t already, make sure you set up Google Search Console so that you can track your progress (and we advocate for recording your metrics in a spreadsheet as well – sometimes it seems like you’re not progressing because it’s not an overnight success, but in actual fact the metrics do show progress). If you truly aren’t ranking on Google anywhere, you might need to get back to basics with submitting your site map to Google.
